Our Martial Arts is over 2000 years old and hails from South Korea. It is made up of 3 of the world's most powerful Martial Arts: Korean Soo Bahk Do, Chinese Kung Fu and Okinawan Karate. As a traditional art form we use Korean, as well as English for commands, counting and salutations. You may also notice that we have both the Korean flag, (Tae-Keuk) and the Union Jack up in the training hall.
Hearing commands in Korean, in your first class, may sound strange Initially but we do use both the English and Korean for each technique etc… you will soon start to become familiar. Students find that they enjoy this, not only does doing so keep the authenticity of the art but also gives students an extra challenge in learning the Korean names for all of the techniques.
